Anushri (she/her/hers) is an Associate Marriage and Family Therapist who grew up in a western part of India before she moved to California with her family in 2011. She earned her Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology (IT) at Nima University in India before earning a Master’s degree in Psychology from the University of Massachusetts Global (formerly Brandman University). Since 2021, Anushri has centered her work around young adults, adults, and seniors. She also has experience providing children with autism spectrum diagnosis learning tools for life skills in a naturalistic environment. Anushri specializes in working with people in recovery, those who are both transitioning into life after long-term addiction and facing acculturation or adjustment issues. She also enjoys working with female clients who are struggling to find a healthy work-life balance, with a focus on intergenerational traumas. Anushri is a firm believer in “it’s the relationship that heals,'' and so she hopes to help clients develop insights through collaboratively exploring their attachment styles, behaviors, and life patterns, as well as empower them to independently create a meaningful life for themselves. She employs active and reflective listening, and her approach is collaborative as she focuses on tailoring treatment to the client’s unique needs and values. Anushri utilizes a combination of techniques, including experiential and solution-focused therapy and gestalt and attachment-based therapy, to meet her client’s needs. Outside of work, Anushri likes to paint, cook, and spend time with her children and is learning ‘Kathak’, a form of dance.
