Caro is an Associate Clinical Social Worker who grew up in Bellflower, California. She graduated from Bucknell University in Lewisburg with a Bachelor’s degree in Classics & Creative Writing. She earned her Master’s degree at the Jane Addams College of Social Work, located at the University of Illinois in Chicago. Caro spent several years living in Rome, Italy, and Chicago following college. Since 2018, Caro has worked in the Mental Health field and is certified in Trauma-Focused CBT with children and adolescents. She specializes in working with both the LGBTQ+ community and Latinx community, with a particular focus on immigrants and children of immigrants. Caro hopes to help clients build the lives they want to live, and she uses goal-setting, healing, and self-love to engage with and help her clients achieve this goal. Caro utilizes a strengths-based, trauma-informed, and person-in-the-environment approach with clients, as well as motivational interviewing and CBT techniques. Outside of work, she loves movement practices such as yoga and learning about astrology, as well as spending time with her two cats.
